The brilliant cartoonist Georges Bess took it upon himself to create his own version of that myth here, keeping to the idea of portraying the soul of the novel as well as possible. Endowed with his well-known graphic virtuosity, he chooses the black and white technique for the panels of dark beauty to emphasize the strength of his lines and give them a breath of Gothic, quite unusual for him. His Dracula is a masterpiece that once again proves that Bess is undeniably one of the best cartoonists in contemporary comics.
